How are you measuring impact?

In the wake of the pandemic, the narrative of our lives has taken on new layers of complexity. While the decision to stay or leave a job is undoubtedly significant, it's just one thread in the intricate tapestry of questions that now define our collective human story; beyond career paths, individuals are grappling with profound inquiries like Purpose and Meaning, Work-Life Integration & Mental and Emotional Well-being.

Most leaders impacted by these challenges themselves, feel very limited when it comes to supporting their team, department, or organisation.

Humans are emotional creatures, and unless we feel certain affective states, unless we feel valued, understood, empowered, or included there cannot be a sustainable & long lasting comeback. Unholistic solutions, that do not address the core of the problem i.e We humans are emotional creatures and everything we do has to have an emotional resonance with our actions. Unless we address the core of this problem smiley faces will be the best way to measure impact.

This translates into soul searching over whether one feels valued in their work or whether they are merely creating outcomes and value to benefit others. Dissatisfaction with the answers increases employees’ intent to leave a job. - Gartner

The endemic and subsequent economic and political volatility has forced everyone to examine their choices about how they spend their time, energy, and social capital. Employees seek to gain more value from their jobs.
